JSTOR - Images: Sharing content from your Workspace

A guide to finding images, working with them, and using them to present.

Ways to share what you find on JSTOR

Sharing what you find on JSTOR

You can share the content you have added to your Workspace through exporting, or through a link.

Exporting (downloading) content to present or share

The Export button is located after the Share button within any folder or subfolder in your Workspace. There are three formats to choose from when exporting content from your JSTOR Workspace:

  • PowerPoint download with metadata and notes in the PPNT Speaker's notes
  • Zip file of each image and each image's metadata
  • A PDF reference list to share both text content and image content

Sharing content with others through a link

Sharing content with others through a link

With JSTOR, you have the option of using one link to share a folder and its subfolders with others at your institution. Folders in your Workspace can be nested into a parent folder with several subfolders, so that an entire semester's content can be shared with a single link. Sharing the parent folder always shares all the subfolders.

Tips:

  • There is no need to create a new link as you update the content of that folder.
  • Any updates that are made to that folder are visible to others through that link.
  • You can turn off link sharing whenever necessary.
