Public Libraries: Using Public Libraries

Guide to resources available at our local public libraries.
Did you know that Ohio has excellent public libraries? It's true! Many public libraries in Ohio will issue library accounts to all Ohio residents. They provide excellent resources to supplement and compliment those available through CIA and Ohiolink. Be sure to take advantage of these great resources.

Cleveland Public Library

All CIA students and employees are eligible for a Cleveland Public Library card. If you do not have a CPL card, you can apply online or go to one of their locations to apply for one. Online library cards (ecards) allow you to access their online resources. You will need an account to access these resources. 

This is a small sampling of electronic resources available from Cleveland Public Library. In addition to electronic resources, they offer access to movies, books, music, a makerspace, events, additional business research sources, and outstanding fine arts and special collections departments.

Cuyahoga County Public Library

All CIA students and employees are eligible for a Cuyahoga County Public Library card. If you do not have a CCPL card, you can apply online or go to one of their locations to apply for one. Online library card applications allow you to access their online resources before you get your card in the mail. You will need an account to access these resources. 

This is a small sampling of electronic resources available from Cuyahoga County Public Library. In addition to electronic resources, they offer access to movies, books, music, a makerspace, audio and video recording studios, events, and additional business research sources.
